Taking care of your cells

PROTECT

In ALL applications cells encapsulated using Cell-in-a-Box™ technology will survive for longer periods of time than naked cells.

In ALL applications the Cell-in-a-Box™ technology provides mechanical protection and structural stability for the cells.

In healthcare applications the Cell-in-a-Box™ technology protects cells from the immune system of the human or animal patient. Capsules are biologically inert and provoke no immune reaction when implanted into humans or animals and are as such invisible to the immune system.

In biotech and research applications cells are protected from sheer forces of bioreactors and physical pressures of their surroundings allowing longer survival, higher growth rates and higher rates of biomolecule production.

In probiotics applications the Bac-in-a-Box™ technology protects bacterial cells.

ISOLATE

In healthcare and research applications Cell-in-a-Box™ technology allows the cells of interest to be isolated at one localized point in the patient or test subject. Naked cells would of course wander about the subject. Encapsulating and isolating the cells allows for local effects to take place, e.g. local killing of a tumour and also allows for re-location and removal of the Cell-in-a-Box™ product should this be necessary.

STORE

For ALL applications Cell-in-a-Box™ products are easily frozen and stored for at least 2 years providing a long shelf life.

TRANSPORT

For ALL applications Cell-in-a-Box™ products are efficiently globally transportable. We have validated that Cells-in-a-Box™ products can be shipped from Europe to Australia and back on dry ice and the cells afterwards have greater than 95% viability on unfreezing and application.
